New digital solution launched exclusively for Safeguarding Boards

Sussex Child Protection Procedures is the first client to go live
We currently advise and develop new websites for 12 Local Safeguarding Children & Adult Boards clients. If you’ve not familiar with what the Boards do, each is made up of statutory and voluntary partners, representatives from Health, Children’s or Adult’s Services, Police, Probation, the Community and Voluntary members. Their main role is to coordinate what is done locally to protect and promote the welfare of children and young people or adults in the local authority area. Each board monitors the effectiveness of the services, holding those organisations to account.
One of their main priorities is easily communicating and sharing their strategy with interested professionals and consumers. The ability to bring together their core objectives and resources in one easily accessible place can really help in achieving this goal. As a result, a few days ago we brought to market a new digital and internet solution designed specifically for Adult and Children Local Safeguarding Boards in the UK.
The first client to have signed up is a group called The Sussex Child Protection Procedures, which is made up of the Brighton & Hove, East Sussex and West Sussex Local Safeguarding Children Boards. The group has been working with Phew Internet to update the website and launch the new procedures website on 27 October.
The new solution is designed to provide Safeguarding Boards with a modern, clean and interactive website, including an advanced search capability, which is easier and faster for both the in-house team to update themselves and for end users to navigate.
The unique digital and website structure presents Boards and their work in the most appropriate ways. The tried and trusted framework provides a large variety of options and scope for customisation, based on fully branded templates. With social media streams integrated into the functionality, and fully mobile and tablet compatible presented in an app-style format, each Safeguarding Board can ensure their digital presence is first-rate. Technical support and analysis of performance and activity are included in the package.

In June 2015, an Ofsted report commented that “an accessible, informative and interactive website, featuring Twitter, allowed Brighton & Hove LSCB members and the chair to have a wide range of ongoing exchanges with the board’s audiences”. Phew Internet’s new service ensures that Boards can develop and run websites that are fit for purpose and generate ROI at a much faster rate than previously available in the marketplace.
