New updates to Phew’s Learning Management System

Date: Monday, 24th Jan 2022 | Category: LMS

We’ve recently updated our Learning Management System (LMS) with a couple of subtle, but very useful improvements, to provide admin users with more flexibility when managing events and courses.

Booking close period

When creating a new course or event, it is now possible to allow delegates to book onto a course the same day that it’s taking place.

The booking close period is a section within ‘Other Event Settings’ and here you can choose the number of days before the event that you want bookings to stop. So, for example if you wanted to prevent delegates booking onto an event five days before it is due to take place, then you would use the drop down within Booking Close Period (days) and choose ‘5’. Previously, the minimum booking close period was one day, but we’ve updated it so you can now select zero.

Cancellation email

If either an admin user or delegate (and delegate manager if applicable) cancels a place at a booked event, then a cancellation email can now be sent to the delegate, so they have confirmation that it has been processed successfully. The email includes a line stating whether the cancellation was invoked by the delegate or admin.

If the delegate themselves cancels their place, then the cancellation email will automatically be triggered. If it is an admin user who cancels it, then there is a tick box underneath ‘Cancelled Comment’ within the delegate’s booking details which needs to be ticked so that the cancellation email is sent.
