Phew is delighted to announce the launch of a new website for Buckinghamshire Domestic Abuse Partnership.

Following the introduction of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021, local authorities had a statutory duty to set up a Domestic Abuse Local Partnership Board. The Buckinghamshire Domestic Abuse Board was established with the aims to strengthen and coordinate the responses across multi-agency services to deliver a “tell us once ethos”. The Board has representatives from a number of local services, including Thames Valley Police, Women’s Aid, Buckinghamshire Housing, and Bucks Health Care Trust.

Buckinghamshire Domestic Abuse Partnership is responsible for providing expert advice to both professionals and victims, and following its creation, it was evident that a website would be the most appropriate method of delivering a variety of information to the public and stakeholders.

The new Buckinghamshire Domestic Abuse Partnership website, created by Phew, offers a range of resources and support for those who have concerns about being in an abusive relationship, as well as a vital toolkit for professionals who receive domestic abuse disclosures which includes the Bucks Referral Pathway.

A dedicated training area is also available for professionals, incorporating previous event recordings and the Bucks Training Catalogue so they can easily browse upcoming courses.

Admin users find the website extremely easy to manage and keep up-to-date, and have found that views of the website are exceeding expectations, so it is already proving a valuable tool.

Faye Blunstone, Domestic Abuse and Violence Against Women and Girls Advisor at Buckinghamshire Council, commented: “The website has exceeded our expectations with easy navigation and a modern design. The Bucks Domestic Abuse Partnership website serves as a one-stop shop of information and guidance for professionals and victims within Buckinghamshire.

“Positive feedback has been received and it is sure to be a well-used resource for many. In its first month since launching it has been visited just short of 700 times, which is encouraging. The team at Phew have been supportive and helpful in bringing our vision to life.”
