Phew is delighted to announce the launch of a new website for West of Berkshire Safeguarding Adults Board.

The West of Berkshire Safeguarding Adults Board covers the three local authority areas of Reading, West Berkshire and Wokingham. It is a statutory mechanism for ensuring that there is a robust multi-agency safeguarding framework in place, and to monitor the effect this has on protecting adults.

The Board aims to make sure that all organisations involved have effective safeguarding policies and procedures in place and that they work together in the best way possible to protect adults at risk. The website is an important tool for providing practitioners with the knowledge they need to help do this, along with being an information hub for those at risk or who have safeguarding concerns.

There were a number of reasons why the Board chose Phew as their website provider, including the proven track record of delivering safeguarding adults boards’ websites, the flexible website functionality, and how the package met all their requirements.

The new website is easy for users to navigate and find information quickly, has additional functionality, is responsive and compliant to international web accessibility standards. There is also a clear button on every page which can be used to report a safeguarding concern swiftly.

Using the content management system is really easy and the pre-built templates are ideal for our website.

“The team at Phew have been extremely supportive in ensuring we have a modern new website and I’m looking forward to experimenting with many of the additional functions which will help keep the website up-to-date.”
